Dr. Faedda is a clinical psychopharmacologist specializing in Mood Disorders. He has participated in NIMH-funded research on actigraphy-derived biomarkers for the differential diagnosis of childhood psychiatric disorders, co-chairs the International Society for Bipolar Disorder’s Taskforce on: ‘Prodromes of Bipolar Disorders’. His interests include child and adolescents’ mood, attention-deficit, anxiety and psychotic disorder, psychiatric phenotype of the Velo-Cardio-Facial Syndrome.
Using a problem-solving approach, we help patients/families grasp the diagnostic issues, treatment options, identify treatment priorities, strengths, vulnerabilities, and maximize the patient’s support system. All diagnostic findings and recommendations are discussed with the patient, and are reassessed during treatment. We also facilitate coordinated care with a large network of experts colleagues for consultations.
